In 1992, Ian Clark began his full-time career coaching hockey goaltenders. He quickly recognized the goaltending community’s need for high-quality, practical instruction. To meet that demand, Clark launched his first newsletter - G O A L I E S - which quickly grew to over 2,000 free subscribers. The message was clear: goalies, coaches, and parents were eager for meaningful, easy-to-understand content.
Seeking a more effective method to deliver instruction, Clark created a self-guided learning system named From the Crease (FTC).
More than 20 years later, the game has evolved — and so has the way we learn.
